Description

Carved wooden figures were often used as finials adorning the masts of tall sailing vessels. Our Lady Mast Cap is styled from the vessel, Lottie L. Thomas, built in 1883. She measures apprx. 18″ tall x 8″ wide x 6″ deep with extensively carved features throughout. The paint patina is a replica of a “polychrome” finish. The early American flag she carries is painted on canvas.
